Here’s how to build for the Cancer Cup Champions meeting. This race takes place at the Tokyo Racecourse, running 1600 m to the left during the summer. The weather is sunny, but the track conditions are wet. Starting off with the stat requirements, pace chasers should aim for around 660 stamina, while front runners, late surgers, and end closers will want 627 stamina with every style also wanting 314 guts. Now, these numbers may seem oddly specific, but there is a reason. Certain tracks give hidden speed bonuses when you pass certain thresholds on specific stats in increments of 300. So 3001, 6001, 9001, and so on. For this race, those bonuses come from stamina and guts. Now, your next question might be, well, why are you recommending 627 and 314? And that’s because mood will affect your stats, and mood is random up until the final race. So by having 627 stamina and 314 guts, you ensure even in the worst mood, you will still get those speed bonuses. And even without the speed bonuses, you’re going to be wanting around 600 stamina anyways, so it’s worth it just to get those stats a little bit higher. I also highly recommend to secure an S rank in mile, which also increases your speed. An S in turf or in your UMA’s running style is also helpful, but just not nearly as impactful as the M. Moving on to skills. Starting off with the green skills, you’re going to be aiming for left-handed, summer runner, and wet conditions. Since left-handed and summer runner increase speed and wet conditions increase power. Beyond that, you’re going to be wanting mile corners as well as whichever corner scale matches your um stal. For example, front runner corners or pace chaser corners. Mile straightaways and style straightaways are not bad, but just because of the length and layout of the track. Corners will provide a lot more value. Some other general skills would be corner adept or its gold version, professor of curvature, home stretch haste, unyielding spirit, tail held high, and play times over. Now moving on to the builds. Front runners are the clear meta choice for this race, mainly because of Saiyan Sky and her unique skill angling and scheming. But in order to activate it, the Uma needs to be in the lead or in first place. The most consistent way to set this up is with a groundwork build, which increases acceleration after triggering three early skills. The best way to guarantee this is to pick up three reliable green skills such as left-handed, summer runner, wet conditions, sunny days, Tokyo racecourse, standard distance, or front runner savvy. You can also use focus or its gold skill concentration which is not necessarily guaranteed but it does have the benefit of preventing late starts. Some other gold skills to take for front runners would be leader pride fastpace or the gold skill escape artist. There are also skills like final push or the gold skill unrestrain which are very strong when they activate although they are a little bit inconsistent. Same thing with straightaway acceleration but definitely worth taking if you do have the extra skill points. And finally, the debuff skill speed eater is also excellent as it not only raises your own speed but lowers that of the um behind you. However, because front runners rely so heavily on angling and scheming, there’s also an anti-meta strategy to consider. You can run your own front runner focused purely on denial, stacking extremely high power and width alongside those same acceleration skills. While this UMA more than likely will not win the race, they can take the lead position, blocking the activation of angling and scheming, leaving your non-front runner UMAS free to finish strong. Moving on past front runners into the other styles, you have ramp up or its gold skill it’s on as well as slipstream. Updrafters or its gold version, Furious V is a powerful acceleration skill and while it isn’t necessarily the most consistent when it does activate at the right moment, they can completely swing a race and is one of the few ways that other UMASs can match up to those front runners. Now, specifically for each style, pace chasers unfortunately don’t stand out in this race. They aren’t necessarily bad, but they lack a unique strength that makes them worth prioritizing. If it is the style you are most comfortable building, you can definitely stick with it. But otherwise, they’re not top tier here. As for late sergers, they are the ultimate boom or bust option. Their best builds rely on stacking multiple acceleration skills and hoping at least one or a few trigger at the perfect time. Skills such as the previously mentioned updrafters or furious feet, as well as slick surge, or it’s a gold skill on your left. Some other good skills to take for late surges would be 1 and a half million CC as well as outer swell or its gold skill rising dragon. And finally, we have End closers, which is going to be built in a similar way to the last champions meeting with the key skill here being straightaway spurt or its gold version encroaching shadow. It isn’t quite as powerful this time around, but it’s definitely still strong and enough to be worth running. Now, for legacies, as I said before, sand skies, angling, and scheming is the single best unique for this race. If you are not running her directly, you’ll definitely be wanting to inherit it. Elcander Pasa’s unique Victoria Portplancha is also extremely strong and it has the added benefit of working when you are in second place which provides a backup if you do get blocked. Majura McQueen’s unique is also good for front runners not only for the racers but also for the anti-match strategy and pace chasers can also make use of that skill. Then for non-front runners, you have agoricap and symbol Rudolph which both offer generically strong uniques. For more boom or bust plays, uniques from Taki Shuttle, Marzenski and Measure Ryan are going to be your go-tos. The reason that these skills are higher high reward and not as consistent as they were comparatively to the first champions meeting is because the last corner of this race actually starts in the middle. And without getting too much into it, you actually want the acceleration to carry over into the end portion of the race. So what that means is you’re hoping that the activation requirements are hit not during the beginning but at the end. So for instance, if you are running Measure Orion’s unique, which activates in sixth place, you’re hoping that you go from 7 to six or even five to six during the end of the quarter. So if it does trigger early, it pretty much does not do much, but if timed well, it can be racewinning. And that is why it’s more of a boomer bust option. And that’s also why something like Maru Zenski, which activates from 1 through 5th, isn’t going to be necessarily good for front runners or pace chasers, because you are more than likely going to be in those slots at the start of the corner. And for the last section, we have some support card recommendations. Now, I’m going to be listing out cards that have skills that are going to be useful for each style. However, some of these cards are going to be just good training cards in general and is perfectly fine to be used in other styles. At the end, I will list the ranking of cards based solely on stat or training wise. Starting off, we have cards that are going to be universally strong such as key black and sweep to show speed. For power, you have Daco Helios, which is great training as well as having some great mile focused skills. And if you are looking for a wit card, a card like fine motion is going to be a very reliable option. Now for front runners, Silent Suzuka’s SR Speed offers a lot of valuable front runner skills, including final push and the gold skill unrestrain. For power, you have Mihona Bourbon, which also has some great front runner skills, but it does have a little bit of overlap with Suzuka. So if you do have a card like Vodka, you can substitute with that instead. And for wit, you do have Measure Dober, which gives you access to Sunny Days and Unyielding Spirit. And again, you’re going to be wanting those green skills for your front runners. And finally, if you aren’t running Saiyan Sky herself and you do have some solid cards, picking the Saiyan sky stamina card is a good option as it gives you fastpace or its gold skill escape artist along with other useful skills. For pacers, you do have Nishino flower speed as it provides pace chaser corners as well as the chance to pick up charming through the warmth love and launch event. Now, for non-funners in general, but mainly for late surgers and enclosures, you can make use of Agori Cap’s power card, which provides access to the furious feet gold skill. And going in specifically for late surges, you have the Aishin flash SR speed card which can give you late serger corners and straightaways. And as for a wit option, Machikani FukQitaru’s SR Wit card is another solid option with it also being able to grant late serger corners. And finally for end closers, Narita Tyishin speed card also provides the core end closer corner skill. And for power, you have Hishi Amazon’s SR card which has endloer straightaways and most importantly straightaway spurt, which is essential if you are running Tyson herself. And lastly, here is a training ranking for each stat, so you can fill in the cards based off what you have. Do note that some cards like Keto Black get a lot better with more limit breaks. So, just treat this as a general guideline and not an end- all beall ranking. [Music] In the future, I will be releasing more detailed UMA specific builds, so make sure to subscribe if you want to see that. And that should cover the Cancer Cup champions meeting. Front runners are the dominant style here, but well-built backline strategies can still break through if their acceleration skills line up properly.
Love the breakdown for styles and decks. Ty 🙏
Good thing I have most of these cards thanks for the detailed vid🩷🩷✨
