【エアグルーヴ】
エアグルーヴ（欧字名:Air Groove、1993年4月6日 – 2013年4月23日）は、日本の競走馬、繁殖牝馬。
1996年に優駿牝馬（オークス、GI）を優勝し、1983年の同レースを制した母・ダイナカールとの母娘2代での制覇を成し遂げた。1997年には天皇賞（秋）（GI）を優勝し、同年、牝馬としては1971年のトウメイ以来26年ぶりとなる年度代表馬に選出された。牡馬と互角以上に渡り合った戦績から「女帝」と称される[5]。その他の勝ち鞍に、1996年のチューリップ賞（GIII）、1997年の札幌記念（GII）、マーメイドステークス（GIII）、1998年の札幌記念（GII）、産経大阪杯（GII）。
現役引退後には繁殖牝馬となり、2003年・2004年のエリザベス女王杯勝ち馬アドマイヤグルーヴ（父サンデーサイレンス）、2012年のクイーンエリザベス2世カップ勝ち馬のルーラーシップ（父キングカメハメハ）と2頭のGI勝ち馬を輩出した。
2013年4月23日、繋養先であった北海道勇払郡早来町のノーザンファーム早来牧場にて11番仔であるエアグルーヴの2013（競走馬名:ショパン）を出産した後、内出血により死亡。20歳であった。
Air Groove (Japanese name: エアグルーヴ, April 6, 1993 – April 23, 2013) was a Japanese racehorse and broodmare.
In 1996, she won the Yūshun Himba (Japanese Oaks, G1), achieving a mother-daughter victory with her dam, Dyna Carle, who had won the same race in 1983. In 1997, she claimed victory in the Tenno Sho (Autumn) (G1) and was named Horse of the Year, becoming the first filly or mare to receive the honor in 26 years since Tomei in 1971. Due to her ability to compete on equal or superior terms with male horses, she was nicknamed the “Empress.” Her other victories include the 1996 Tulip Sho (G3), the 1997 Sapporo Kinen (G2) and Mermaid Stakes (G3), as well as the 1998 Sapporo Kinen (G2) and Sankei Osaka Hai (G2).
After retiring from racing, she became a broodmare and produced two G1 winners: Admire Groove (by Sunday Silence), who won the Queen Elizabeth II Cup in 2003 and 2004, and Rulership (by King Kamehameha), who won the 2012 Queen Elizabeth II Cup (Hong Kong).
On April 23, 2013, after giving birth to her 11th foal, Air Groove 2013 (later named Chopin), at Northern Farm in Hayakita, Yufutsu District, Hokkaido, she passed away due to internal bleeding at the age of 20.
