In the autumn G1 series, a new stage was set for the gray rivals’ next head-to-head. In the international G1 Japan Cup. Wanting to overturn the one-and-a-half-length margin from the Tenno Sho—Oguri Cap, he was burning to topple Tamamo Cross. A debt that must be repaid, a humiliation that must be avenged. However, standing in the way were the overseas contenders assembled in force. From the racing powers of America and Europe, proven runners had come. This is the 8th Japan Cup, before our very eyes. This year there are fourteen starters; the fourteen are about to begin loading into the gate. Salem Drive, Suzu Parade, Gold City, Tamamo Cross, Tony Bin, My Big Boy, Oguri Cap, Mejiro Durren, Bonecrusher, Running Free, Kondor, Shady Heights, Moon Madness, and Pay the Butler — fourteen in all. With Pay the Butler going in, the focus of the world—the 8th Japan Cup, Start—We are underway! Fourteen away; a clean break. Battle for the lead in front of the grandstand; some runners are urging now. Is Mejiro Durren about to go on? Mejiro Durren, and Running Free. From the outside, Moon Madness. Now the lead is among this group—Running Free, Mejiro Durren, Suzu Parade, and Shady Heights. Japanese runners are in front and second. Mejiro Durren; Muramoto goes on; strong in the big races—Muramoto. Muramoto’s Mejiro Durren takes the lead first, round the 1st corner on the left-hand curve. Running Free second; on the inside Suzu Parade is third. And from the outside Shady Heights with Shibata aboard. Shady Heights moves into second. Behind that, behind that, Oguri Cap. My Big Boy slots in behind Oguri Cap. On the inside of My Big Boy, it is Salem Drive. Behind Salem Drive sits Gold City, and then Kondor. There is a slight break behind Kondor; then Moon Madness is running from the rear. Moon Madness; beyond him Tamamo Cross, and Bonecrusher. They are on the backstretch straight; fourteen runners almost in one line, almost one pack. And Shady Heights, Shibata, takes over in front. Mejiro Durren second; out wide My Big Boy, then Oguri Cap. Through the inside Suzu Parade improves. Tony Bin. World-class Tony Bin is here. The L’Arc winner Tony Bin is mid-pack. Behind him Salem Drive; on the rail Gold City moves up. And Kondor’s rider is already working a touch. Then Tamamo Cross has been wide, wide, wide throughout. Coming on wide, sweeping up, Pay the Butler from America also advances. Around the 3rd corner curve, almost, almost all 14 runners are in a bunch. From the 3rd corner to the 4th corner, almost in one bunch. Shady Heights still leads. And Mejiro Durren makes a move. Mejiro Durren makes a move. Shady Heights and Mejiro Durren draw together; the margin between the pair tightens. From just behind, My Big Boy. And Pay the Butler is coming up. From behind that, Tamamo Cross. Tamamo Cross also, in the red cap, smoothly comes forward. He is coming up on the outside, on the outside. Behind them, also a red cap, the world-class,
the world-class Tony Bin arrives. And to the outside, Oguri Cap! Round the 4th corner curve and into the home straight. Tokyo Racecourse erupts in a huge cheer! Is it still Mejiro Durren in front? Mejiro Durren? From the outside,
Tamamo Cross goes through to the lead! Tamamo Cross, Tamamo Cross already bursts clear. Tamamo Cross already in front! And on the inside, Pay the Butler digs in! Oguri Cap is coming! Oguri is coming! But is the leader Tamamo Cross? Is it Pay the Butler? Tamamo Cross? Tamamo Cross! Pay the Butler is aiming for the inside. Oguri Cap sticking on! The leader is Tamamo Cross! Tamamo Cross! Pay the Butler from the inside! Outside it is Tamamo Cross! And Oguri Cap sticking on! But From the inside Pay the Butler! From the inside Pay the Butler wins! It is Pay the Butler! And in second, second is Tamamo Cross! The winner is the American, Pay the Butler! The clash of the grays is the battle for second. Two horses chased the American representative Pay the Butler hard, but could not catch him and reached the finish just as they were. Even in the fight for second, Oguri Cap was again beaten by Tamamo Cross.
We might need a rescore of the 1988 Autumn Tennosho and Arima Kinen once the anime’s cour ends

I can't wait to see the 1989 edition get animated.
Ohhhh, you were waiting for the episode to air…!
Tony Bin's owner bought a soccer club with the prize money Tony Bin earned, and later acquired Japanese fantasista Hidetoshi Nakata.
A month ago, this channel had a humble 1-2k subscribers (at least as I remember). It brings a smile to my face that this channel is getting so popular and is getting closer to having 10k subscribers – a totally deserved reward for amazing effort in every video.
Damn can upload with out the commentator but only the bgm and sound was so amazing colaborator

昨日のジャパンカップ シンデレラグレイ パート2 エピソード18に関連するように再度編集してください…
Pay the Butler actually move away from Tamamo Cross just like Obey did in the anime
シチーさほにほに気性が荒すぎるべ…
well, I really wish we can see one more Mejiro in game that is Mejiro Durren, so she can appear in this anime arc and later put in game, but seem like after the anime event we will hard to see her appear :'(
2:22 "best position"
Tamamo Cross the OG grey monster 💪
As upcoming Japan Cup 2025 in 17 days, very different from was back then 37 years agos, only international horse is European is Calandagan second highest rated horse as of today, but been surrounded by Japanese last 3 other foreign horse withdrawed shortly after accepted, last non-japanese to win Japan Cup was in 2005 was 20 years agos, Calandagan as mentioned been surrounded by Shin Emperor (2nd in Japan Cup last year), Masquerade Ball (Tenno Sho Autumn winner this year), Croix Du Nord (Japanese Derby winners, and also returned after 14th place in Arc, if Not Japan Cup then Arima Kinen), Tastiera (winner QE II Cup in Hong Kong and also 8th Place in Tenno Sho this year) and much much nearly all are Japanese except for Calandagan
I like how the last spurt takes 1 episode on cinderella grey
Spoilers for the anime btw
What? No rough play from my big boy?
Só faltou a Winning Live 88' 😂
Shout out to the world-class Tony Bin for finishing 5th despite a fractured freaking leg.
俺が生まれる前だか、生で見たかった
This was so cool to see ❤
This race turns out to be Pay the Butler's only G1 win.
ウマ娘的な話で言うとメジロデュレンはメジロマックイーンのお兄さんです。
Start from 2:19 look at how My Big Boy pressing Oguri Cap until his (irl horse) jockey decided to drop some position. And avoid many body contact with My Big Boy, it's real happened😮
Wild Joker time 🃏
lol😂 after reading his history, Pay the Butler was really a scam! Wins 1 major, then get bought but was a pretty bad stud. The owner really lucked out, he won when it mattered. And he sold it at high price to Japan breeders due to that reason 😂
Fantastic edit, was a blast watching this as well!
